AmDram, dance shows, talent competitions and stage acts
can be such fun and so rewarding - they are all becoming increasingly popular
as fund raising events and excellent in getting communities together. |
|
I have personally been involved in all areas of amateur
shows for many years - The Annual Ripley Village Pantomime - performing (yes,
including the dame: 'Queen Dilly!' ) directing and even writing one! And of
course recording many of them on video. My two daughters danced - and I was
naturally always asked to record the shows, the school nativities, the regular
events etc... I was also lucky in being asked to direct the Woking Community Play
one year, 'David Copperfield' - a very lengthy and difficult story to stage,
with a large cast to control and direct; even more difficult to video! |
|
Becoming known locally through the above activities, I
became a regular finals night judge at Woking's annual Talent Week, fellow judges included
Eric Sykes, Harold Snoad (Director & Producer of many BBC TV comedies,
including 'Keeping up Appearances') and many other invited celebrities.

If you have a show to be recorded on video - I'd love
to have the opportunity! |
